Please have a look at the photos from the last PAIA lecture this year, given by Dr Zofia Stos-Gale (Department of Historical Studies, University of Gothenburg) and entitled “Aegean metallurgy in the Bronze Age from the perspective of lead isotope analyses”. This sensational lecture showing over 25 years of the researcher’s work attracted a large audience. Among the online participants, apart from members and representatives of PAIA councils, there were also special guests: Helen Hughes-Brock, Malcolm Wiener, Director of the Ephorate of Antiquities of Magnesia Dr Anthi Batziou, Prof. Mark Wendorff, Prof. Arkadiusz Marciniak, and Dr Antoine Chabrol from EFA. We would like to thank everyone for participating, and the guests on site, especially Justine Lefebvre from CIG, Sergios Menelaou from BSA and Dr Jorgos Kardaras from the National Hellenic Research Foundation for interesting questions during the lecture and participation in the discussion behind the scenes. We would also like to express our greatest thanks to Dr Zofia Stos-Gale for accepting our invitation and coming to PAIA from the UK and for all the support provided to our Institute which included generous donations to our library.
We can already announce that for the next year we are planning further interesting lectures with speakers from various scientific institutions in Poland and Germany. We would like to warmly invite you to participate in those incoming events!
