On October 8th, 2022 the organizers and participants of the “Polish Philhellenism Evening” took part in a trip to the first capital of Greece – Nauplio, during which visited the Catholic Church of the Transfiguration with a monument dedicated to 280 Philhellenes, including Poles who died during the Greek War of Independence. The monument has the form of an internal wooden portal, modeled to resemble the front of a classical Greek temple.
