Good news!

The Coronavirus pandemic has brought difficult situation also to the archaeological world. Our activity had to slow down a bit… But we are far from surrender! If there is a possibility to press on, then we do so! So, we have a great news to share with you:

On 27th of April 2020, the Ministry of Culture and Sports of the Republic of Greece approved our first license for the archaeological fieldworks in Greece! It allows the expedition of Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań, led by Prof. J. Czebreszuk, to continue research in the Anthemous Valley in Central Macedonia. The project is scheduled for the next three years and focuses on the non-invasive prospection (geoarchaeological vibra-coring and archaeological surface surveys).

But again, the pandemic… The situation is still uncertain. Numerous expeditions have suspended their projects in the upcoming season. However, we can still wait with the Anthemous Valley project, as the non-invasive works can also be done during the autumn season.
