We are pleased to announce that from now on we have a General Secretary in Athens! The person in charge of the Athens branch of the institute is Beata Kukiel-Vraila, MA. who was chosen for the position after a screening of dozens of candidates. Ms Beata Kukiel-Vraila is a graduate of the University of Warsaw, with a Master’s degree in Political Science and second Postgraduate Diploma in Journalism. In addition, she studied at the Public Relations and Media Marketing Lab at the same university and participated in the international cultural exchange programme ‘Camp America’, which gave her the opportunity to do an internship in the USA. She’ve cooperated with public and private radio and television stations, the press and electronic portals in Poland and the Polish media abroad. During the economic crisis in Greece and the migration crisis in Southern Europe, she was a foreign correspondent for Polish Radio and News Agency (IAR). She is fluent in English (CAE, University of Cambridge) and Greek (National and Kapodistrian University of Athens). She is the author of a bilingual poetry book entitled „By other wind”, and co-author of an anthology of Polish and Greek poetry entitled „Bridges: Warsaw-Athens”. She is a member of the Greek Union of Writers.
