The Polish Archaeological Institute at Athens is searching for a Secretary in Athens! The position is for a half-time employment as an employee of Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań, Poland.

Responsibilities:

1.      Working hours: Monday to Friday, 4 hours a day – preferably between 9am and 2pm.

2.      Office duties of Polish Archaeological Institute at Athens (PAIA), especially: correspondence with Greek Authorities and Institutions, handling the research licenses, administrative duties concerning the members of PAIA, preparation and participation in PAIA’s events.

3.      Maintenance of the PAIA’s library (the library currently is in its organization stage).

4.      Editorial works of the PAIA’s publishing office.

5.      Administration of the guest rooms of PAIA.

6.      Organization of work in PAIA’s office.

7.      Other duties commissioned by the PAIA’s Director and Vice-Director.

Requirements (optimal):

1.      Languages: English, Greek (orally fluent, and in writing to a level suitable for handling the official correspondence), Polish

2.      Administration and office handling skills (including programs like MS Office and Excel)

3.      Basic knowledge on the specifics of archaeology.

The Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań, Poland, does not provide the accommodation in Athens.
